My Picture House is our own Cahiers de cinema, a place to share ideas and appreciation of great films.
It's a podcast in which I talk about films that have been formative in people's lives, that have formed the way they see the world and understand art.
I started by writing and recording shows about films like David Lynch's Dune and Romeo's Martin. I try to put them in a personal, social and artistic context. These are not always what I consider to be the best films by a particular director but the ones that have impacted the lives of the people I interview or myself the most. Often they are the ones that ambushed us on little TVs in our childhood homes when we should have been in bed.
